Lights Camera Action! Announcing the City of Kenora You Tube Channel

The City of Kenora is pleased to announce that all City Council meetings will be available for the public to view on the City of Kenora YouTube Channel.  The link can be found on the City’s portal under the City Council tab.

Council meetings take place on select Tuesdays each month and the set schedule can be seen in the Council Calendar.  The Committee of the Whole (COW) Council Meeting is held first to allow for open discussion.   Council can ask questions and gather further information on recommendations brought forward by City management.   This is a great platform for presentations and deputations from various interest groups and individuals from the public also.    This meeting is a less formal, information gathering style meeting.

The Council Meeting follows COW and this is when members of Council vote on recommendations making final decisions.    This meeting has a formal purpose to enact legislation.  By-laws are adopted, regulations accepted, and policies set.

At this time, the July 19th Council meeting is the only broadcast available for viewing.  Keep checking the Channel as more 2016 meetings will be posted soon!
